Medical Care
If you need medical care, but you don’t have health insurance, you may be eligible to receive medical care at the Free Clinic of Central Virginia. If you are a current patient of the Free Clinic of Central Virginia and become eligible for Medicaid, we will continue to serve you.
What we offer:
Free comprehensive primary care for adults by appointment only including:

Ongoing Care for Chronic Illnesses Such as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Asthma, Allergies, Thyroid Disorders, and High Cholesterol

Treatment for Minor Acute Illnesses Like Bronchitis, Sinus Infections, Influenza and Urinary Tract Infections
-
Preventive Medical Care Like Flu Shots, Physicals, Screenings for Cancer and Diagnostic Tests for Chronic Illnesses
-
Annual Gynecological Exams, Pap Tests, Breast Exams, Mammograms and Some Birth Control for Female Patients

Routine Lab Services
Free specialty medical services for adults by appointment only during monthly clinics, including:

Hypertension/Kidney Disease Care

Provide referrals to other providers for free or reduced-cost medical specialties, including:

We do not provide STD testing or treatment, HIV testing or treatment, pregnancy testing, TB screening, or flu shots unless you are receiving ongoing primary care from the Free Clinic of Central Virginia.
Eligibility Guidelines
You are most likely eligible if you:

Are Over Age 18
-
Have Household Income Below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level

Are Not Covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance
-
Are Currently Living in Virginia
